New Orleans is known for its music, food, culture, and historic charm, but one thing many people quickly notice is how incredibly pet-friendly the city can be.

And honestly, as someone who absolutely loves dogs, this is one of my favorite things about living here.

Whether it’s walking through Uptown beneath the oak trees, relaxing on a patio along Magazine Street, or grabbing coffee while dogs lounge beside their owners, pets are simply part of the lifestyle in so many parts of New Orleans.

  One of my personal favorites because it’s casual, fun, and dog-friendly on the patio. Plus, if you’ve read some of my previous blogs, then you already know I absolutely love their “Damn Good Nachos.” ⚜️
• Juan's Flying Burrito
  A relaxed local spot that’s perfect for grabbing food while spending the day around Magazine Street.
• Pêche Seafood Grill
  A little more upscale and definitely worth making reservations for. Known for incredible seafood and a great New Orleans dining experience.
• Joey K's Restaurant & Bar
  A longtime local favorite that has been serving classic New Orleans comfort food since 1989.
• Red Dog Diner
  Popular with locals and known for its pet-friendly atmosphere and outdoor seating.

Magazine Street is honestly one of the best places in New Orleans to spend the afternoon walking with your dog.

And honestly, I rarely leave Fleurty Girl empty-handed. 😂⚜️

• Wisner Dog Park
  A favorite Uptown area dog park surrounded by beautiful oak trees.

  One of the prettiest places in the city for walking dogs beneath the oak trees.

Audubon Park especially feels peaceful early in the morning before the city fully wakes up.
